Bessemer Man Arrested as Second Suspect in Hueytown Murder Case
HUEYTOWN, Ala. (WBRC) – Authorities in Hueytown have made a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of Contravia Lamond Jackson, a 43-year-old resident who was tragically killed back in February. La’Garyeus Lamar Boglin, a 26-year-old man from Bessemer, has been taken into custody as the second suspect in connection with Jackson’s untimely death.
Following a thorough investigation, law enforcement officials were able to identify Boglin as a key suspect in the case. Jackson’s lifeless body was discovered on February 19, 2024, in the front seat of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence on June Avenue in Hueytown.
Boglin now faces a slew of serious charges, including felony murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, and first-degree burglary. The US Marshal Service played a pivotal role in apprehending Boglin, who was subsequently transferred to the Jefferson County Jail in Bessemer, where he is being held without bond.
