Man Indicted on Murder Charges in Old Town Stabbing Incident

A 33-year-old man from Portland, Oregon, has been indicted on Friday for his alleged involvement in a deadly stabbing incident that took place in the Old Town neighbourhood back in January. The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed the charges brought against Jesse James Harold.

The grand jury has indicted Harold on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon in connection to the tragic death of 32-year-old Deante Dean Watts.

The investigation into the incident began on the morning of January 12th, when law enforcement officers responded to reports of a stabbing at the intersection of Northwest Naito Parkway and Northwest Everett Street. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Watts with severe injuries. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Following an extensive investigation, Harold was identified as the primary suspect and subsequently arrested in connection to the stabbing incident. He is currently being held in custody at the Multnomah County Jail.
