Arrest Made in Connection to Fatal Shooting in Washington, D.C.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has announced that an arrest has been made in connection to a fatal shooting that took place on February 25 on the 700 block of Morton Street, NW in Washington, D.C. The incident resulted in the death of a 17-year-old male, identified as Jabari Malloy.

According to MPD documents, officers responded to the location following a report of a shooting and found the victim with gunshot wounds in the rear alley of the premises. Unfortunately, the young man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

On March 14, 42-year-old Rico Antjuan Parker was apprehended and charged with first-degree premeditated murder while armed, following the issuance of an arrest warrant.

The swift action taken by law enforcement in making an arrest in this case demonstrates the commitment of the MPD to bringing justice to victims of violent crimes in the district.
