Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab police has made a major breakthrough with the apprehension of two associates of the notorious Gurpreet Lehmbar and Jassa Nurwala gang. The arrested individuals, Jagdeep Singh alias Rinku and Balwinder Singh alias Babbu, were confirmed by the Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab police on Friday.
According to the DGP, the gang has been involved in a series of heinous crimes including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, and extortion in various areas such as Ludhiana, Jagraon, Moga, Bathinda, and Sangrur. Both Rinku and Babbu have a history of criminal activities, with Rinku being a proclaimed offender in a Moga attempted murder case and Babbu evading authorities since firing at an STF team in Ludhiana in June 2023. It was revealed that the duo operated under the instructions of the fugitive gangsters Lehmbar and Nurwala.

During the arrest, the AGTF team also recovered two pistols and 10 live cartridges from the individuals. In a related incident, another suspect involved in a recent shooting at Katani Premium Dhaba, Sector 79, Mohali, was detained earlier by the AGTF. The primary interrogation led to the disclosure of the identities of two other fugitives, Rana and Arshjot, connected to the same event, as revealed by Punjab’s Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav. The captured individual, identified as Amritpal Singh alias Nannu, was associated with the Davinder Bambiha Gang.
Furthermore, the fourth suspect, Feroz, implicated in the incident, was apprehended by the Haryana police. The swift action taken by the AGTF highlights the commitment of law enforcement agencies in cracking down on criminal activities and ensuring the safety and security of the public. The Punjab police have urged the public to come forward with any information that may aid in further investigations and apprehension of other individuals involved in criminal activities..
