Three Killed in Separate Road Accidents in Dhaka

Three individuals tragically lost their lives in separate road accidents in different areas of Dhaka. The incidents occurred in Banani, Jatrabari, and Mohammadpur, with each victim identified as van driver Abul Kalam Hawlader, tailor Shahjahan Talukder, and 11-year-old Mahmud Rifat.

Details of the Incidents

The series of accidents took place between midnight and 5am on Friday, leaving the families of the deceased in shock and mourning. Abul Kalam Hawlader, who worked as a van driver on the Jatrabari route, was hit by a covered van early in the morning. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where he was pronounced dead by doctors.

Jatrabari police station Sub-Inspector Mehedi Hasan confirmed the incident and stated that the body was handed over to the grieving family for final rites.

Shahjahan Talukder, a tailor by profession, was on his way home when a speeding motorcycle collided with him. He was initially taken to Kurmitola General Hospital and later transferred to DMCH due to worsening health conditions. Unfortunately, he could not survive his injuries, and his body was released to his family without a post-mortem examination, as mentioned by Shyamal Ahmed, sub-inspector of Banani police station.

the latest trends in sustainable fashion:

Sustainable fashion is no longer just a passing trend – it’s a movement that is here to stay. As more and more consumers become aware of the environmental and social impact of the fashion industry, they are turning towards sustainable and ethical fashion brands. From clothing made from organic and recycled materials to fair trade practices, sustainable fashion is becoming increasingly popular among consumers.

One of the latest trends in sustainable fashion is the rise of rental and subscription services. Instead of purchasing new clothing items, consumers can now rent them for a limited amount of time. This not only reduces the amount of clothing that ends up in landfills but also allows consumers to experiment with different styles without the commitment of buying.

Another trend in sustainable fashion is the use of innovative materials. Designers are now experimenting with fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles, pineapple leaves, and even mushrooms. These materials not only reduce the demand for new resources but also have a lower environmental impact compared to traditional fabrics like cotton and polyester.

In addition to materials, sustainable fashion brands are also focusing on ethical production practices. This includes fair wages for workers, safe working conditions, and transparent supply chains. By prioritizing ethical practices, these brands are not only reducing their environmental impact but also supporting the well-being of the people who make their clothing.

Consumers are also becoming more conscious of the longevity of their clothing. Instead of buying cheap, fast-fashion items that quickly fall apart, they are investing in high-quality pieces that are meant to last. This not only reduces waste but also saves money in the long run.

Overall, the future of sustainable fashion looks bright. With more consumers demanding transparency and ethical practices from fashion brands, the industry is slowly but surely moving towards a more sustainable future. By supporting sustainable fashion brands and making conscious purchasing decisions, consumers can help drive this positive change in the industry..
