Teenager Fatally Shot in Fall River

A tragic incident occurred in Fall River late Thursday morning as a teenager was shot and killed, sparking a homicide investigation led by Bristol District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III’s office.

The victim, identified as 18-year-old Colus Jamal Mills-Good, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in a downtown shooting. Despite being rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, according to prosecutors.

Mills-Good, a student at Resiliency Preparatory Academy, was a valued member of the Fall River community. Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan expressed his condolences, highlighting the impact of the loss on the tight-knit school community. The academy, catering to grades 7-12, is an integral part of Fall River Public Schools, as stated on the district’s official website.
