Accident – Death – Obituary News : In recent police actions in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, several individuals have been arrested for various offenses, ranging from assault to driving under the influence.

One incident occurred on 3/7/2024 at Applebee’s in California, MD, where Andrea Marie Leach, 39, of Lexington Park, MD, was arrested for assaulting an employee of the establishment. Leach was taken into custody and charged with Second Degree Assault.

On 3/12/2024, TFC Black conducted a welfare check on a driver at Wawa in Mechanicsville, MD. The driver, identified as Shelly Christine Sternack, 43, of Mechanicsville, MD, was found asleep in the driver’s seat with suspected Methamphetamine, suspected Cocaine, and associated paraphernalia in plain view. Sternack was arrested for driving under the influence and also had active warrants in Charles County and Worcester County. She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and issued criminal citations for Possession of CDS (Not Cannabis) x2, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, and traffic citations related to driving under the influence.

Additionally, several individuals were arrested for Driving Under the Influence on different dates:

– Ngozi Chukwuka Anderson, 31, of Temple Hills, MD, on 3/8/2024
– Matthew Allen Sanders, 20, of Leonardtown, MD, on 3/9/2024
– Thomas Jay Worch, 19, of Drayden, MD, on 3/9/2024
– Maria Anne Cusanelli, 61, of Leonardtown, MD, on 3/12/2024
– Shelly Christine Sternack, 43, of Mechanicsville, MD, on 3/12/2024

Furthermore, Lauren Michelle Sollers, 35, of Hollywood, MD, was arrested on 3/13/2024 by TFC Pope for Second Degree Assault based on an open warrant.
