Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], March 15 (ANI): The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab police has made a significant breakthrough by apprehending two associates of the notorious Gurpreet Lehmbar and Jassa Nurwala gang. The arrested individuals have been identified as Jagdeep Singh, also known as Rinku, and Balwinder Singh, also known as Babbu, according to a statement released by the Director General of Police, Punjab.

Criminal Activities

The gang, led by Lehmbar and Nurwala, has been linked to a series of heinous crimes including murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, and extortion in various areas such as Ludhiana, Jagraon, Moga, Bathinda, and Sangrur. During the arrest, the AGTF team recovered two pistols and 10 live cartridges from the accused individuals, further highlighting the dangerous nature of their activities. This seizure adds to the evidence against them and strengthens the case for their prosecution.

Recent Arrests

It is worth noting that just last month, the AGTF had successfully apprehended another individual involved in a firing incident at Katani Premium Dhaba in Sector 79, Mohali. The interrogation of the arrested suspects has led to the identification of two other absconding individuals, Rana and Arshjot, who were also implicated in the incident.

Connection to Gangster Gaurav alias Lucky Patiyal

According to the Punjab Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, the arrested individuals, particularly Amritpal Singh alias Nannu, were associated with the Davinder Bambiha Gang. The orchestrated crime was carried out under the direction of the foreign-based gangster Gaurav alias Lucky Patiyal of the Davinder Bambiha Gang, with the aim of extracting ransom money from the victim.

These recent developments underscore the ongoing efforts of the Punjab police to crack down on organized crime and bring perpetrators to justice. The collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies have been instrumental in disrupting the activities of criminal syndicates and ensuring the safety and security of the public.

the growing trend of sustainable fashion in the fashion industry.

In recent years, the fashion industry has been under increasing scrutiny for its environmental impact. From the use of toxic chemicals in production to the massive amounts of waste generated by fast fashion, consumers are becoming more conscious of the negative effects of their clothing choices. This has led to a rise in the popularity of sustainable fashion, a movement that aims to minimize the industry’s impact on the environment and promote ethical practices.

One of the key components of sustainable fashion is the use of eco-friendly materials. This includes organic cotton, bamboo, hemp, and recycled fabrics. These materials are grown and produced in a way that minimizes harm to the environment, such as using less water and pesticides in the production process. Many brands are now incorporating these materials into their collections, offering consumers stylish and eco-conscious options.

Another aspect of sustainable fashion is ethical production practices. This includes fair wages and safe working conditions for garment workers, as well as transparency in the supply chain. Brands are increasingly partnering with factories that prioritize worker well-being and are committed to reducing their carbon footprint. By supporting these brands, consumers can feel good about where their clothes are coming from and the impact they are having on the planet.

Furthermore, sustainable fashion extends beyond just the materials and production methods used. It also encompasses the entire lifecycle of a garment, from its design to its end of life. Many brands are now offering repair services, take-back programs, and recycling initiatives to ensure that their products can be used for as long as possible and kept out of landfills.

The rise of sustainable fashion is not just a trend, but a necessity. With climate change becoming an increasingly urgent issue, the fashion industry must do its part to reduce its impact on the environment. By supporting brands that prioritize sustainability, consumers can help drive positive change in the industry and create a more eco-friendly future for fashion..
