Police Identify Victim in Fatal Bicycle Accident in Davenport
Authorities have confirmed that the victim of a tragic bicycle accident in Davenport has been identified as 27-year-old Gage D. Williams from the local area.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, in the 7000 block of North Division Street. Williams was cycling along the road when he was struck by a pickup truck travelling southbound on Division Street.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 54-year-old man whose identity has not been disclosed, was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation following the collision.
The Davenport Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. At this time, no further details have been released to the public.
