Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Three Workers from West Bengal in Chhattisgarh

Three workers from West Bengal tragically lost their lives in a fatal accident in Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtari district. The incident occurred when their motorcycle collided with the railing of a bridge, causing them to fall into a dry canal, as reported by the police on Thursday.

The unfortunate event took place on Wednesday evening under the jurisdiction of the Sihawa police station. The three men were travelling on a two-wheeler from Bhothli Bodra village to Sankra village, where they were involved in the installation of high tension electricity lines. According to a police official, the motorcycle rider lost control while navigating a turn on the bridge, leading to the collision with the railing.

While the motorcycle remained on the bridge, the three workers fell into the 14-feet-deep dry canal below and succumbed to their injuries on the spot. The victims have been identified as Shariful Haq (21), Abdul Rahim (42), and Kamalin Jamal (26), all hailing from Malda district in West Bengal.
