The victims have been identified as Shrinivas Endupunganti (58), his wife Shripadmalata (54), and their son Chandrashekhar. Aroli police have launched a murder investigation into the incident.

Superintendent of police Harssh Poddar revealed that initial findings suggest Shrinivas strangled his wife and son before hanging himself in their two-storey house. It is believed that Shrinivas, burdened with a debt of Rs10 to Rs11 crore, may have been driven to this extreme act. However, authorities are exploring other possible motives as well.

According to police reports, the family had dinner together on Wednesday night before retiring to their respective rooms. In the early hours of Thursday, Shrinivas carried out the heinous act of first strangling his wife and son before taking his own life. The shocking discovery was made by Chandani, Chandrashekhar’s wife, who found the lifeless bodies of her loved ones.

Shrinivas had reportedly borrowed Rs8 crore and put up all his assets, including the rice mill, as collateral. He had also failed to make several loan payments and owed money to farmers amounting to Rs1.50 crore. Sources close to the family revealed that Shrinivas was under immense stress due to his financial situation.
