Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Three West Bengal Workers in Chhattisgarh

On a fateful day in Dhamtari district, Chhattisgarh, three workers from West Bengal met with a tragic accident that cost them their lives. The incident occurred on a bridge under Sihawa police station limits as the men were travelling on a motorcycle from Bhothli Bodra village towards Sankra village.

Details of the Incident

The three men, identified as Shariful Haq (21), Abdul Rahim (42), and Kamalin Jamal (26), were engaged in the vital work of laying high tension electricity lines in the area. Hailing from Malda district in West Bengal, they were residents of Bhothli Bodra village.

According to reports, the motorcycle they were riding failed to negotiate a turn on the bridge, leading to a tragic accident. The vehicle hit the railing of the bridge, causing the riders to fall into a dry canal that was 14-feet deep. Sadly, all three men lost their lives on the spot.

Immediate Response and Further Investigation

Local authorities swiftly responded to the scene of the accident and identified the deceased workers. An accidental death report has been registered, and a thorough investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to this devastating event.
