Dixon High School Placed on Lockdown After Threatening Calls

Last week, Dixon High School was put on a temporary lockdown following two threatening phone calls received by the institution. The Dixon Police Department swiftly took action to investigate the origin of these calls.

Origin of Threatening Calls Traced

After thorough investigation, law enforcement officials were able to trace the calls back to a juvenile attending a high school in Fairfield. Further collaboration with the Dixon Unified School District revealed that the phone used to make the threats had been loaned to Josiah Boyd-Vaughn, an 18-year-old resident of Fairfield.

Arrest Made in Connection to Threats

Subsequently, Boyd-Vaughn confessed to making the threatening calls and was promptly arrested by the authorities. He now faces charges of suspicion of criminal threats with the intent to terrorize. Following his arrest, Boyd-Vaughn was booked into the Solano County Jail, with bail set at £25,000.

Reassurance from Police Officials

Despite the alarming nature of the threats, police officials have reassured the public that there was no credible danger posed to the school, its students, or staff members. The swift action taken by law enforcement ensured the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
