Tragic Accident in Harrietstown Claims Life of Tupper Lake Resident
On a fateful Wednesday afternoon, tragedy struck the quiet town of Harrietstown in upstate New York. New York State Police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred on State Route 3 just after 1 p.m.
Details of the Incident
The crash involved a single vehicle, a bright red 2013 Mini Cooper that was travelling westbound when it veered off the roadway. The driver, identified as 65-year-old Jean Crubaugh from Tupper Lake, was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Response and Investigation
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders pronounced Crubaugh dead. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit were called in to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. State Police were joined by Saranac Lake fire and rescue as well as Tupper Lake fire and rescue in dealing with the aftermath of the tragic incident.

As of now, the investigation into the fatal crash in Harrietstown is still ongoing. Authorities are working diligently to piece together what led to the untimely death of Jean Crubaugh.
