Kosciusko County Man Dies in Three-Vehicle Collision
A devastating three-vehicle crash occurred early Wednesday morning in Kosciusko County, resulting in the tragic death of a Pierceton man.
The incident took place at approximately 5:40 a.m. on US-30, just west of County Road 450 East. The vehicles involved in the collision were a Chevrolet S-10 pickup, a Buick Rendezvous, and a GMC Acadia.
According to authorities, the crash was initiated by a vehicle that had come to a partial stop in the left westbound lane and was also partially in the median due to a flat tire. Despite the GMC and Buick slowing down in response, the S-10 collided with the Buick, causing it to be pushed into the rear of the Acadia.
Tragically, the driver of the S-10, identified as 58-year-old Jay King from Pierceton, sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, King succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to the driver of the Buick, an 84-year-old woman from Pierceton, or the driver of the Acadia, a 30-year-old man from Florida.
The Kosciusko County Fatal Team is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the cause and any contributing factors.
