Man Arrested for Lewd Conduct in Ventura County High School Parking Lot

A 29-year-old man from Ventura County is facing charges of lewd conduct in public after allegedly being caught masturbating in the parking lot of Sierra High School in Fillmore. The suspect, identified as Ivan Alejandro Valdez, was spotted by two female students on March 6.

Incident Details

According to authorities, the two teenage girls saw Valdez sitting in his parked vehicle at the high school. As one of the girls walked past his car, she witnessed him touching his genitals in a manner indicative of sexual gratification. The girls then reported the incident to their parents.

After leaving the high school, the suspect allegedly followed the girls to a nearby Starbucks Coffee parking lot before eventually leaving the area. The parents of the students reported the incident to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, prompting an investigation.

Arrest and Investigation

Following the report, detectives launched an investigation and gathered surveillance footage and community assistance to identify Valdez as the suspect. He was later arrested in the 700 block of Edison Lane in Fillmore.

Reminder to the Public

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office issued a reminder to the public to speak to their children about ‘Stranger Danger’ and report any suspicious behavior. They urged individuals to contact the Ventura County Sheriff’s Communications Center at (805) 654-9511 or call 911 in case of emergencies.

It is currently unclear whether Valdez remains in custody as the investigation continues.
