Tragic Accident Claims Life of Young Man in Chippewa Township, Wayne County

A devastating incident occurred in Chippewa Township, Wayne County, as a 25-year-old man lost his life in a fatal one-vehicle crash involving a four-wheeler. The victim, identified as Garrett Carraway from Doylestown, was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities from the Wooster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. It was reported that Carraway was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The tragic event took place on Tuesday, March 12, around 5:06 p.m. when emergency services were alerted to a severe injury traffic collision on Serfass Road (Township Road 94) in Chippewa Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol swiftly responded to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Initial findings from the on-site investigation revealed that a white and red 1986 Honda TRX-250R four-wheeler, driven by Carraway, was travelling southbound on Serfass Road when it veered off the left side of the road and collided with a guardrail, resulting in the tragic outcome.

The authorities have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. The Ohio State Highway Patrol has stated that there is currently no evidence to suggest that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
