Suspects Arrested in Series of Bank Robberies Across the Bay Area and Central Valley

SAN JOSE – Law enforcement authorities have apprehended a duo believed to be involved in a string of bank robberies and attempted heists spanning the Bay Area and the Central Valley. The arrests were made public by San Jose Police on Wednesday.

The arrests are linked to a robbery that took place on February 12 at a bank located on the 500 block of West Capitol Expressway. During the incident, a male suspect handed a note to the teller, demanding money. The suspect managed to abscond with over $1,000 in cash before fleeing on foot.

Following an extensive investigation, robbery detectives identified the main suspect in the initial robbery and connected him to similar incidents in Fremont, Modesto, and Sacramento, as well as attempted robberies in Sacramento and Milpitas. Additionally, a female suspect believed to be the getaway driver in all six incidents was also identified.

On March 6, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in Antioch, where they discovered an unregistered Glock handgun and ammunition. The primary suspect, identified as 37-year-old Brandon Lopez of Antioch, was subsequently arrested, along with the suspected driver, identified as 43-year-old Tamara Bush, also from Antioch.

Both suspects have been booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of robbery. According to jail records, Lopez and Bush are currently being held without bail. Authorities have indicated that the duo will face additional charges in other jurisdictions.
