The incident took place at a residence located at 4700 Parmalee Gulch Road, where Shriver was sharing a home with Bobby Keith Knapp, aged 51, as reported by Morrison-area resident Spencer Davis, whose family owns the property.

Reports indicate that at 3:42 p.m. on February 24, the Jeffcom Communications Center received a distressing 911 call from a man claiming to have been involved in a shooting at the residence. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found Knapp standing in the driveway and Shriver inside the home, succumbing to gunshot wounds.

Authorities swiftly apprehended Knapp and formally charged him with first-degree murder in connection to the incident. Davis shared that Shriver and Knapp were acquainted as high school classmates in Utah, shedding light on their relationship prior to the tragic events that unfolded.
