Four Killed and Three Injured in Tragic Road Accident in Cumilla

Four people lost their lives and three others were injured in a devastating road accident that took place on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Chandina upazila of Cumilla early Tuesday morning.

The tragic incident occurred in the quiet Belasar area of Chandina at around 5:30 am on Tuesday. The victims of the accident have been identified as Monir Hossain, Habibur Rahman, Akhter Hossain, and Rafiqul Islam.

According to Manjurul Alam Mollah, the officer-in-charge of Eliotganj Highway Police Station, the accident involved a Dhaka-bound truck that was carrying fish from Noakhali. The truck overturned and collided with a parked vehicle in the Belasar area of Chandina, resulting in the death of four workers who were crushed in the collision.

The injured individuals were promptly taken to Dhaka for further medical treatment, as confirmed by the OC.

The tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning as they come to terms with the loss of their loved ones. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the cause and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
