Pennsylvania Man Arrested for Assaulting Women at Urgent Care Facility in Abington Township

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, Penn. — A man in Pennsylvania was taken into custody on Monday following allegations of assault against two women at the urgent care centre where he was employed.

The investigation was initiated on March 1 when a female visitor approached the Abington Township Police Department in Montgomery County to report an incident.

According to investigators, the woman recounted her visit to Carbon Health Urgent Care in the Jenkintown area of Abington Township for a drug screening.

Upon arrival, she was greeted by an employee identified as Ramon Garcia, who allegedly instructed her to provide a urine sample for observation.

After the sample collection, Garcia allegedly made advances towards the victim, offering his phone number and suggesting a date. Another similar report surfaced while the initial case was under investigation.

On March 10, a second female complainant informed Abington police that she had been subjected to inappropriate touching during an examination at Carbon Health Urgent Care.

She detailed her visit to the clinic on March 9, where Garcia, posing as a nurse, escorted her to an examination room and conducted a pelvic exam.

Allegedly, Garcia proceeded to undress the victim and engage in inappropriate touching during the examination. The victim objected, prompting Garcia to desist and make suggestive comments before giving her his contact information.

Garcia was apprehended during his shift at the urgent care facility and was found to be employed as a medical assistant responsible for administrative tasks and limited medical procedures.

Charged with aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, and invasion of privacy, Garcia’s unauthorized actions have raised concerns about potential additional victims.

Having worked in Abington Township since July 2023, Garcia’s employment history at other Carbon Health Urgent Care locations in Montgomery County and Dresher, Pennsylvania is currently under scrutiny.

Individuals with relevant information are urged to contact authorities at 267-536-1102.

In response to the allegations, Carbon Health Urgent Care issued a statement expressing shock and assuring cooperation with law enforcement in the matter.

“The safety, well-being, and trust of our patients are our highest priorities,” the statement reads. “We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and integrity.”

The impact of these events on patients and the community is acknowledged, with the urgent care centre encouraging anyone with concerns to come forward and report to the authorities.
