The incident occurred on February 25th when a site manager discovered two individuals inside the construction site, suspected of being involved in a burglary. The situation escalated quickly, with the suspects allegedly assaulting the site manager by deploying bear spray. In self-defense, the site manager then drew his firearm and fired at the man and woman, resulting in their deaths.
Despite the evidence and circumstances surrounding the case, the shooter was not arrested, and no charges were filed. The Denver District Attorney’s Office released a statement explaining their decision, citing a significant claim of self-defense on the part of the shooter.
Robert McFall, the father of the female victim, expressed his disbelief and grief over the tragic incident. He believes that his daughter and the other victim did not deserve to die, regardless of the circumstances. McFall criticized the shooter for not showing remorse and failing to provide assistance to the injured woman.
