Koteshwar Chourey : “Class 11 Boy Stabbed for Using Neighbour’s Vehicle”

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A heartbreaking incident has shaken the residents of Indore’s Banganga area, where a young student lost his life in a senseless act of violence stemming from a minor altercation with neighbors.

Details of the Incident

The victim, identified as Koteshwar Chourey, a class 11th student residing in Raja Bagh Colony, tragically passed away due to the injuries sustained during the brutal attack. The incident unfolded on a fateful Monday night, sending shockwaves through the community.

Sequence of Events

Reports from the Banganga police revealed that the unfortunate event transpired when Koteshwar returned home only to find his main door locked. Spotting a vehicle parked outside his neighbor’s house, he attempted to use it as a makeshift ladder to access his balcony.

However, his actions were noticed by the neighbors, leading to a confrontation that quickly escalated. The altercation culminated in the neighbor’s family and their associates assaulting Koteshwar, ultimately resulting in him being fatally stabbed with a knife.

Arrest of Suspects

Following swift police intervention, seven individuals, namely Mahendra Yogi, Harsh Yogi, Ashok Chouhan, Hritik Chouhan, Ajay Pandit, Prem Lal Dashore, and Hitesh Prajapati, were apprehended in connection with the heinous crime. Investigations revealed that Hitesh was the one responsible for delivering the fatal blow.

Community Outcry

The victim’s family members made frantic efforts to rush Koteshwar to a nearby hospital and subsequently to MY Hospital, but unfortunately, he could not be saved. Tragically, even Koteshwar’s cousin brother, Kuldeep, suffered severe injuries during the altercation.

As news of the incident spread, the community was left reeling, with demands for justice echoing through the streets. The family of the deceased staged protests, seeking accountability for the senseless loss of life.
