Man Killed in Shooting at Bus Stop in Front of Richmond City Hall Identified

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department has officially identified the victim of a fatal shooting at a bus stop in front of Richmond City Hall on East Broad Street. The incident took place on Friday, March 8, at approximately 7:48 a.m., and the suspected shooter is still at large.

Victim Identified as Vincent Robinson, Jr.

The victim has been named as 33-year-old Vincent Robinson, Jr. of Richmond. Robinson was found at a Greater Richmond Transit Company bus stop with a gunshot wound by officers who responded to the scene. He was swiftly transported to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Search for Suspected Shooter Continues

Richmond Police are still actively searching for the suspected shooter, who remains at large. The individual is described as a Black man, possibly with a short beard underneath a face covering. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a distinctive black and white hooded jacket, black white and red FILA sneakers, blue jeans, and sunglasses.
