Tragic Crash Claims Lives of Two Teenagers in Las Vegas

Authorities in Las Vegas are investigating a devastating crash that claimed the lives of two teenagers over the weekend. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when a Pontiac G6 ran a red light, collided with another vehicle, and ultimately struck a street pole, causing the driver and passenger to be ejected from the car.

Responding officers described the scene as “utter devastation,” noting that the vehicle was split in half as a result of the collision. Tragically, both occupants of the car, identified as Thomas Quintero Jr., 16, and Eduardo Barragan, 16, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

Thomas Quintero Jr. and Eduardo Barragan both succumbed to blunt force injuries to the head and torso. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was rushed to Sunrise Hospital where he later passed away.

The intersection where the crash occurred was temporarily shut down to allow for a thorough investigation. According to police, speed is believed to have been a significant factor in the tragic incident.
