Tragic Shooting Incident at Tropicana Convenience Store in Las Vegas

The Clark County coroner has identified the victims of a recent shooting at a convenience store on Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, March 5, resulted in the tragic deaths of Rona Ah-Foon, 29, and Summer Lange, also 29. Both victims succumbed to gunshot wounds, with their deaths being ruled as homicides.

Additionally, a man in his 20s was also shot during the incident but is currently in stable condition. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was alerted to the shooting by a shotspotter alert near the intersection of Tropicana and Nellis. Reports of gunshots being heard inside the store further confirmed the severity of the situation.

According to preliminary investigations, the perpetrator, described as a Black male wearing a surgical mask, approached the front of the business on a bicycle before opening fire through the open door. After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene by heading eastbound through the parking lot and then continued eastbound on Tropicana.

Despite ongoing efforts by law enforcement, the suspect remains at large. LVMPD Homicide Lieutenant Jason Johansson has urged the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding the incident. Lt. Johansson has stated that the police believe the shooting was a targeted attack, underscoring the need for community cooperation in bringing the perpetrator to justice.
