DENVILLE TOWNSHIP WOMAN FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES FOLLOWING HIT-AND-RUN CRASH

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County woman is facing a slew of charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash in Denville Township in the early hours of Monday morning, police report.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on North Shore Road, according to authorities.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that one of the vehicles involved had left the scene before officers arrived. However, the license plate of the suspect’s vehicle was left behind, aiding in the identification process, police revealed.

Following a brief search, law enforcement was able to locate the vehicle and its driver, who was later identified as Laura Decroce, a 48-year-old resident of Denville Township, police confirmed.

Decroce was taken into custody and has been charged with driving under the influence and aggravated vehicular assault, as the other driver involved in the crash sustained injuries. Additionally, she is facing charges of careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to report a crash, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with injuries, and refusal to provide breath samples for testing, authorities disclosed.

After being processed, Decroce was released pending an upcoming court appearance, according to police.
