The Shooting Incident in Chesterfield Square, Los Angeles
A man was critically wounded in a shooting in the Chesterfield Square section of Los Angeles after allegedly pointing a gun at a passerby and police. The incident unfolded in the area of 54th Street and Manhattan Place around 12:55 p.m. on a Sunday, according to the LAPD.

Alleged Gunpoint Incident
The man, later identified as Jose Robles, reportedly pointed his gun at an unidentified person, prompting a call for assault with a deadly weapon. Officers responding to a different call spotted Robles walking down the street, gun in hand.
Police Response
Upon seeing Robles, the officers attempted to stop him and ordered him to drop the gun. However, Robles allegedly refused to comply, leading to the officers shooting him. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition. It was later discovered that the gun he was holding was a BB gun.
