Accident – Death – Obituary News : The tragic incident that took place on Sunday in Jaunpur has left a family devastated and in mourning. Seven members of a family from Bihar’s Sitamarhi lost their lives in a horrific car accident, including two children. The accident occurred when their car collided head-on with a speeding truck on the Karjag-Kerakat road in the Gaura Badshahpur police station area.

The deceased were identified as Gajdhar Sharma (60) and his son Anish Sharma (35), Jawahar Sharma (57) and his 17-year-old son Gautam, Sonam (34) and her eight-year-old son Yug Kumar, and Rinku (32). Two other family members sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the BHU hospital.

According to the police, the family was on their way to Jhusi in Prayagraj for a matchmaking ceremony for their son Chandan Sharma. The tragic accident occurred at the Kerakat Prasad intersection around 2:30 am, when their car was hit by a speeding truck from Jaunpur. The impact of the collision was so severe that the car got stuck under the truck and was dragged for 10 meters.

SHO Brijesh Gupta described the scene as devastating, with the car leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The injured were immediately taken to the district hospital for treatment, where medical professionals were on standby to provide aid.

The incident has left the community in shock and mourning the loss of seven lives, including two young children. The police are investigating the cause of the accident and ensuring that the family receives the necessary support during this difficult time.
