Man Dies in Fiery Car Crash in Dora, Alabama

DORA, Ala. – A tragic incident occurred on March 7, when a man lost his life in a car crash that resulted in his vehicle catching fire. The victim has been identified as 53-year-old Edward Lynn Davis, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal collision took place at around 3:40 p.m. along the 5300 block of Warrior Jasper Road. Davis, who was driving a Toyota Corolla, collided head-on with a Volkswagen Volt. The impact of the crash caused the Corolla to burst into flames, leading to Davis’s untimely death at the scene.

Following the incident, the driver of the Volt was rushed to UAB Hospital for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
