Woman Faces Attempted Murder Charges in North Charleston Hotel Shooting Incident
A 34-year-old woman, identified as Ashlie Mary Parsley, is currently facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime following an alarming shooting incident at a hotel in North Charleston, South Carolina. The North Charleston Police Department reported that Parsley allegedly fired shots at two individuals in a vehicle from the second floor of the hotel.
The incident unfolded around 11:30 p.m. on a Thursday night when officers responding to a separate matter heard a gunshot emanating from a hotel situated on Rivers Avenue. Upon investigation, law enforcement officers encountered two individuals who were driving in a car nearby. The victims informed the authorities that Parsley had discharged a firearm at their vehicle, resulting in a terrifying ordeal.
According to a detailed police report, the altercation leading to the shooting incident originated from a heated argument between Parsley and one of the victims. Subsequently, Parsley, positioned on the second floor of the hotel, discharged a single round that struck the back passenger side of the victims’ car, narrowly missing causing harm to the occupants.
Law enforcement officials confirmed the presence of a bullet hole in the rear of the vehicle, further corroborating the victims’ account of the harrowing event. Additionally, video footage retrieved from the scene clearly depicts Parsley aiming and firing at the individuals in the car, underscoring the severity of the situation.

As a consequence of her alleged actions, Ashlie Mary Parsley has been placed in custody at the Al Cannon Detention Center, pending further legal proceedings.
