New Suspect Arrested

Kameron Favorite, 24, of Boutte, has recently been extradited to Jefferson Parish and booked with second-degree murder in connection to the death of Aaron Lee. This makes him the fourth person arrested in relation to the case, shedding light on the tragic events that unfolded on that fateful day.

Other Arrests Made

Anthony Morgan, 41, was charged with second-degree murder, three counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and two counts of obstruction of justice. Brittany Schoeppner, 31, and Joseph Freeman, 57, were also charged with obstruction of justice and being convicted felons in possession of a firearm.

The Incident

The incident took place on April 25, 2022, at the intersection of Airline Drive and North Turnbull Drive. Aaron Lee was stopped at a traffic light when he was targeted by two gunmen. The shooters opened fire, leaving Lee critically injured. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Lee succumbed to his injuries three days later.

Investigation Details

Investigators identified Anthony Morgan as one of the gunmen through evidence left at the scene. A witness also came forward, stating that Morgan had attempted to recruit help in killing Lee prior to the incident. This tragic event has left the community in shock and disbelief.

Kameron Favorite was apprehended on June 3, 2022, and held in another jurisdiction until his recent extradition to Jefferson Parish. He is currently being held without bail at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna, awaiting further legal proceedings.
