Empowering Farmers through Agricultural Seminars

To empower local farmers with modern techniques of wheat cultivation, an awareness seminar and field day were organised at Ratta Kulachi Farm. The event, led by Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) in collaboration with Pakistan Agriculture and Research Council (PARC), aimed to educate farmers on enhancing their per-acre yield.

During the seminar, experts emphasised the use of recommended seed varieties and the adoption of mechanical harvesting techniques to maximise crop yield. The significance of integrating modern technology into agriculture practices was also highlighted, showcasing the potential for agricultural growth in the region.

The seminar attracted scientists, agricultural students, and local farmers, creating a platform for knowledge sharing and innovation in the agricultural sector. Furthermore, the inauguration of a ‘dates solar hybrid tunnel’ at Ratta Kulachi Farm signifies a step towards sustainable farming practices, particularly in the ripening and drying process of Dhakki dates.

Overall, these initiatives are instrumental in promoting agricultural development and advancing farming practices in Dera Ismail Khan and beyond.
