Man Arrested for Hit-and-Run Crash Leaving Young Boy Hospitalized in Riverside County
A disturbing incident occurred in Riverside County recently, where a young boy was left hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash. The suspect behind the incident has been identified as Mlouie Qutami, a 29-year-old resident of Menifee, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Details of the Incident
The incident took place on Feb. 14 near the intersection of West 3rd Street and South C Street in Perris at approximately 6:36 p.m. Qutami was driving his Ram 1500 pickup truck when he collided with a parked vehicle. In a reckless attempt to flee the scene, he struck the young boy who was crossing the street with his family.
Instead of stopping to help the injured child, Qutami callously sped away, leaving the boy lying on the road. Thankfully, witnesses who saw the incident immediately contacted the sheriff’s station for assistance.
Arrest and Charges
After thorough investigation, authorities were able to locate Qutami on March 1 at the 24000 block of Hospitality Place in Murrieta. He was promptly arrested on multiple charges, including hit-and-run resulting in injury, driving on a suspended license causing great bodily harm, and three outstanding felony warrants.
