The two women, Karen Casbohm, 63, and Loreen Bea Feralo, 55, were charged with gross abuse of a corpse and theft from a person in a protected class. The incident took place on a quiet evening in Ashtabula, Ohio, sending shockwaves through the community.
Police were called to the Ashtabula County Medical Center emergency room after the two women dropped off the deceased man without identifying him or themselves. The man was later identified as 80-year-old Douglas Layman, a resident of Ashtabula.

Legal Proceedings
