Two Brothers Arrested for Plotting Murder in Goa
Two brothers from Bihar have been apprehended by Goa police for allegedly accepting a contract to kill the lover of their employer’s wife. The shocking incident involved the use of a firearm and has sent shockwaves through the community.
Arrest and Details of the Incident
The suspects, identified as Devdas Masurkar and his employees Pravinkumar Paswan and Prabhat Paswan, were taken into custody after the victim, Sachin Kurtikar, was shot in the chest. The incident occurred early on a Friday morning as Kurtikar was riding his two-wheeler to work.

According to Superintendent of Police Sunita Sawant, Masurkar, who works in the fabrication business, allegedly hired his employees to eliminate Kurtikar due to suspicions of an illicit affair with his wife. The plan went awry when Kurtikar survived the attack and raised an alarm for help.
Recovery of Evidence
Police recovered a fake number plate, a pistol with US markings, and ammunition from the scene of the crime. The accused had hidden the weapon in Curti, a few kilometers away from the crime site, and abandoned the two-wheeler used in the attack.
Investigations revealed that the firearm was procured from Bihar, with one of the brothers travelling to bring it back in January 2024. The total deal was valued at Rs 60,000, with a portion of the payment made to the siblings for their role in the crime.

Authorities are currently tracing the origin of the weapon and have reached out to their counterparts in Bihar to ascertain the criminal history of the accused individuals. The motive behind the attack, stemming from a previous altercation between Masurkar and Kurtikar, is under scrutiny as the case unfolds.
