SUFFOLK, Virginia – The tranquil streets of Suffolk were disrupted on the afternoon of 9th March when a road rage incident escalated into a violent confrontation, resulting in one individual being shot. The Suffolk 911 Center received reports of gunfire in the 5600 block of Shoulders Hill Road at 1:34 p.m. Officers swiftly responded to the scene, only to receive another distressing call from Sentara BelleHarbour Hospital. An adult male, aged 29, had arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound that, fortunately, was not life-threatening.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the shooting stemmed from a heated exchange during a traffic altercation. Prior to the incident, the suspect vehicle was observed driving erratically on the 3900 block of Bridge Road. While details about the perpetrator remain scarce, eyewitnesses identified the vehicle as a white SUV. Evidence collected at the scene included three shell casings, adding weight to the severity of the situation.
The investigation into this distressing incident is currently ongoing, with law enforcement agencies working tirelessly to uncover more information. As of now, no further updates are available for public release.
