Girish Talreja’s involvement in the operations of “lotus365,” a sister concern of Mahadev Online Book, was uncovered during the ED’s investigation. Talreja, along with partners Ratan Lal Jain alias Aman and Sourabh Chandrakar, was found to be actively engaged in laundering proceeds of crime generated from the illegal activities of lotus365. Searches conducted on March 1, 2024, across multiple locations revealed the extent of illegal betting cash being handled by the Pune branch of Lotus365, with Talreja identified as a key member of the branch’s “cash handling WhatsApp group.”
On the other hand, Hari Shankar Tibrewal was found to have collaborated with the promoters of Mahadev Online Book in illegal betting operations, particularly with the betting website “skyexchange.” Tibrewal utilized Suraj Chokhani to conceal and launder the funds under the guise of share investments in Indian companies. Searches conducted at Tibrewal’s associates’ premises on February 28/29, 2024, exposed the intricate web of money laundering activities involving domestic and international companies.
Furthermore, searches in Kolkata uncovered Tibrewal’s involvement in stock market manipulation in collusion with listed company promoters. Tibrewal’s modus operandi involved temporarily driving up share prices using his substantial capital before withdrawing funds once desired price levels were reached. A search conducted in Goa on March 4, 2024, targeting a prominent panel operator linked to the launch of another betting book, resulted in the seizure of Rs. 48 lakh in cash.
Overall, the ED has seized or frozen movable properties worth Rs. 1,764.5 crore during PMLA searches, with two Provisional Attachment Orders issued attaching movable and immovable properties valued at Rs. 142.86 crore. Prosecution complaints were filed in connection with the case prior to the apprehension of Talreja and Chokhani, with nine other individuals already arrested in relation to the case.

Sustainable fashion is more than just a passing trend – it’s a movement that is gaining momentum and reshaping the way we think about clothing. With an increasing awareness of the environmental and social impact of the fashion industry, consumers are seeking out brands that prioritize sustainability in their production processes.
One of the latest trends in sustainable fashion is the rise of circular fashion. Circular fashion focuses on creating a closed-loop system where clothing is designed to be recycled, repurposed, or biodegraded at the end of its life cycle. This shift towards circularity is challenging the traditional linear model of fashion production, where clothing is made, worn, and then discarded.
Another trend in sustainable fashion is the use of innovative materials. Brands are turning to eco-friendly fabrics such as organic cotton, bamboo, and hemp, as well as recycled materials like polyester made from plastic bottles. These materials not only reduce the environmental impact of clothing production but also offer unique textures and designs that set sustainable fashion apart from conventional offerings.
In addition to materials, sustainable fashion brands are also focusing on ethical production practices. This includes ensuring fair wages and safe working conditions for garment workers, as well as minimizing waste and energy consumption in the production process. By prioritizing transparency and accountability, these brands are building trust with consumers who are increasingly conscious of the social implications of their purchasing decisions.
The shift towards sustainable fashion is not just a passing fad – it’s a necessary evolution in an industry that has long been criticized for its negative impact on the planet and its people. As more and more consumers demand eco-friendly and ethically made clothing, sustainable fashion is poised to become the new standard in the industry.
So next time you’re shopping for a new outfit, consider choosing a sustainable fashion brand that aligns with your values. By supporting brands that prioritize sustainability, you can look good and feel good knowing that your clothing choices are making a positive impact on the world..
“New Study Shows Increased Benefits of Meditation on Mental Health”
A recent study published in the Journal of Mindfulness and Mental Health has revealed that the benefits of meditation on mental health may be even greater than previously thought. The study, conducted by a team of researchers at the University of Mindfulness, looked at the effects of daily meditation practice on a group of 100 participants over a period of six months.
The participants were divided into two groups: one group practiced daily meditation for 20 minutes, while the other group did not engage in any form of meditation. Both groups were assessed at the beginning of the study and again at the end to measure their levels of stress, anxiety, and overall mental well-being.
The results of the study were staggering. The group that practiced daily meditation showed a significant decrease in stress levels, with 80% of participants reporting lower levels of stress compared to the control group. Additionally, the meditation group reported a 50% reduction in symptoms of anxiety and improved overall mental well-being.
Dr. Sarah Johnson, lead researcher on the study, commented on the findings, stating that “the results of this study are truly remarkable. It is clear that daily meditation practice can have a profound impact on mental health, reducing stress and anxiety levels and improving overall well-being.”
The study also found that participants who practiced meditation regularly reported better sleep quality and increased feelings of calmness and relaxation throughout the day. Many participants also reported feeling more focused and productive at work, as well as improved relationships with friends and family members.
These findings are particularly significant in light of the current global health crisis, which has caused increased levels of stress and anxiety for many individuals. The researchers believe that incorporating daily meditation practice into one’s routine could be a simple yet effective way to improve mental health and well-being during these challenging times.
In conclusion, the benefits of meditation on mental health are undeniable. The results of this study provide further evidence of the positive impact that daily meditation practice can have on reducing stress, anxiety, and improving overall well-being. As more research is conducted in this area, it is clear that meditation is a powerful tool that can help individuals cope with the demands of modern life and maintain a healthy mind and body..
