All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen President Condemns Attack on Muslim Worshippers in Delhi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly condemned the recent incident in Delhi, where a policeman was caught on camera kicking Muslim worshippers who had gathered for Friday namaz. The video clip of the incident went viral on social media, sparking outrage and leading to the suspension of the police officer, sub-inspector Manoj Kumar Tomar.

Outrage and Response

Expressing his shock and disgust at the incident, Mr. Owaisi stated, “This despicable act highlights the deep-rooted hatred that some individuals harbour towards Muslims. It is a shameful display of disrespect and lack of dignity for the Muslim community in our country.”

As the Delhi Police falls under the control of the Union government, Mr. Owaisi called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to investigate the matter and identify the victim who was targeted in the attack. The victim, who was in a state of prostration during the namaz, was subjected to humiliation and mistreatment in the presence of others.

Defiance and Resilience

In a defiant tone, Mr. Owaisi reaffirmed the Muslim community’s commitment to their faith, stating, “Our resolve to offer namaz will not waver in the face of such oppression. Regardless of the obstacles placed before us, we will continue to bow before Allah and fulfil our religious duties. By resorting to violence and hostility, those responsible for the attack have exposed their deeply ingrained prejudice and animosity towards us.”

He further emphasised that acts of aggression and discrimination will not deter the Muslim community from practicing their faith and exercising their fundamental rights. The incident, he added, serves as a stark reminder of the challenges and injustices faced by Muslims in society.

Call for Justice

Mr. Owaisi called for a thorough investigation into the incident and demanded that the perpetrators be held accountable for their actions. He underscored the need for swift and decisive action to ensure that such acts of violence and discrimination are not repeated in the future.

As the Muslim community in India continues to face discrimination and prejudice, Mr. Owaisi reiterated his commitment to advocating for their rights and standing against any form of injustice or oppression.
