RIVIERA BEACH SUSPECT ARRESTED IN FATAL SHOOTING CASE
RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — Authorities have made an arrest in connection with the fatal shooting of a 43-year-old man in Riviera Beach last month. The incident occurred on Feb. 12 at 1000 W. Blue Heron Blvd. just before 5 p.m.

Initially reported as a fight, the situation quickly escalated into a fatal shooting involving a firearm. The victim, identified as Calbert Dawson, was tragically shot and killed inside his vehicle.
After a thorough investigation, police were able to make an arrest in the case. Lavon Heath, who celebrated his 33rd birthday on Thursday, was apprehended by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.
Heath now faces charges of first-degree murder with a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
