A tragic incident has shaken the community of Chatham-Kent as a Windsor man has been identified as the victim in what local police are now treating as a homicide.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service received a distressing call around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday reporting a shooting incident. Upon arrival at Towanda Boulevard in Erie Beach, officers discovered the lifeless body of the victim.

Authorities have confirmed the victim’s identity as Michael Allard, a 40-year-old resident of Windsor. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Allard’s death, which is being classified as a murder.
