The Events Leading to the Tragic Discovery

On March 5, law enforcement officials received a distressing call concerning a missing individual who had failed to return from a fishing trip the previous day. The search led deputies to a truck and boat trailer located near 1000 Seminole Rd. Further investigation revealed an unoccupied boat anchored in a slip at Highland Marina.

The Department of Natural Resources and the Corp of Engineers were promptly contacted to aid in the search efforts. As dusk settled, the body of Lorenzo Reed was discovered submerged underwater and sadly pronounced deceased.
