CAMP SPRINGS, Md. Man Charged with Murder After Stabbing Girlfriend in Tragic Incident

CAMP SPRINGS, Md. – A Maryland resident is facing murder charges following a horrifying incident where he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death before turning the knife on himself.

According to authorities, the tragic event unfolded at approximately 12:30 p.m. on March 5 in the 4900 block of Allentown Road in Camp Springs, Maryland. Police were alerted to a stabbing incident at a local business premises.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered 39-year-old Yesenia Jaramillo Sosa, a resident of the area, inside the business suffering from multiple stab wounds. Tragically, Sosa was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, identified as 42-year-old John Marin Morales, was also found at the scene with self-inflicted stab wounds. Morales was rushed to a nearby hospital with severe injuries considered to be life-threatening.

Investigation and Alleged Motive

Following a detailed investigation into the incident, detectives concluded that Sosa and Morales were involved in a romantic relationship. Sosa, who was an employee at the business where the attack took place, was allegedly targeted by Morales in a violent outburst that led to her untimely death.
