Tragically, the body of 57-year-old Jimmy C. Kennedy was discovered inside the woodshop. Additionally, a fatal fire struck Grundy, Virginia, on Tuesday morning, resulting in another tragic loss of life. Emergency crews and police responded to the scene of the fire around 9:40 a.m. The fire was swiftly extinguished, but a body was found at the residence. The victim has not been identified pending notification of relatives. The Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Wytheville Field Office has taken charge of the investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
