A tragic incident unfolded on March 3 when the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of gunshots on the 2700 block of Jasper Street, SE.

Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, the man, identified as 31-year-old William Hargrove, succumbed to his injuries before medical assistance could be administered.
The MPD is actively investigating this homicide, seeking any information that could lead to the apprehension and conviction of those responsible for this senseless act of violence.
