Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Leeds Resident

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Monday in Canton, resulting in the loss of Travis Boivin, a 44-year-old resident of Leeds. The incident took place on Turner Street, also known as Route 108, when Boivin, riding a 2008 Harley Davidson, slowed down for a school bus ahead of him.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck when Boivin was struck from behind by a 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer 4-door sedan driven by Troy Kimball, a 30-year-old resident of Mexico. The collision occurred around 5:12 p.m., leading to Boivin’s untimely death at the scene of the accident. Kimball, fortunately, escaped without any injuries.

Investigation and Response

Following the fatal crash, the road was closed for several hours as the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Canton Fire Department and the Livermore Fire Department, conducted a thorough investigation. A crash reconstructionist from the Windham Police Department was also called in to examine the scene.
