Man identified in Barrington Hills Vehicle Collision

A tragic incident occurred in Barrington Hills recently when a fiery vehicle collision claimed the life of a young man from Carpentersville. The Lake County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 30-year-old Josue Campuzano-Cuin, who lost his life due to injuries sustained in the accident that took place on Feb. 28.
Details of the Incident
According to reports from the Barrington Hills Police Department, emergency responders rushed to the scene at County Line Road and Bellwood Drive following a call about a vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, they discovered two vehicles involved in a head-on collision, with one of them engulfed in flames.
Campuzano-Cuin was driving eastbound in a Ford pickup truck when he collided with a westbound Hyundai Palisade, resulting in the fiery crash. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver, a 46-year-old woman from Algonquin, was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

Ongoing Investigation
Due to the severity of the crash, the Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) of Lake County was called in to conduct a thorough investigation. The Barrington Hills Police Department, in collaboration with MCAT, is currently working to determine the cause of the collision and any contributing factors.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging all motorists to exercise caution on the roads and adhere to traffic laws to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
