“Belgium has recently deported a significant number of individuals posing as Russian diplomats. Were they actually spies? Absolutely,” stated De Croo.

He further revealed that whenever Belgium takes a stand against Russia, its online platforms come under cyber attack.

Further investigations unveiled that the Russian embassies in Belgium had the highest concentration of satellite communication equipment, which was being used to transmit sensitive information back to Russia.

One particular embassy building in a Belgian city was found to have at least 17 satellite dishes installed on its rooftop, along with various other antennas and communication devices, raising concerns about potential espionage activities.

Russian Espionage on a Global Scale

Recent events have highlighted the extent of Russian espionage activities across the world. In a previous report, a group of Russian spies was uncovered in the United Kingdom, engaging in intelligence gathering to serve the interests of Russia.

Furthermore, on February 20, Estonian authorities disclosed the successful disruption of a hybrid operation orchestrated by Russian special services. This operation led to the arrest of 10 individuals as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.
