Body of Missing 18-Year-Old Found in Wilson County, Halifax County Sheriff Reports

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina is currently investigating the death of an 18-year-old who was reported missing and later found deceased in Wilson County. The body was discovered near NC Highway 481, just outside Enfield, after a call was received by the Wilson Police Department.

The victim has been identified as Amir Hinnant, a resident of Spring Hope. Hinnant’s family had reported him missing to the Wilson police on Saturday, March 2. Authorities believe that Hinnant’s death occurred at a different location and that his body was later dumped in rural Halifax County.
