Construction Workers from Chhattisgarh Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident

Tragedy struck in the early hours of Monday as two construction workers hailing from Chhattisgarh lost their lives in a hit-and-run incident on the flyover at Sivaganga junction on the Inner Ring Road. The victims, identified as K. Anil Kumar (25) and R. Ram Baran (32), were employees at a ready-mix concrete plant in Valayankulam.

The unfortunate incident occurred when Ram Baran was riding a motorcycle with Anil Kumar as the pillion rider. Riding on the wrong lane of the grade-separator while heading from Thoothukudi Road towards Tiruchi Road, their lives were tragically cut short when an unidentified vehicle struck them down at approximately 1 a.m.

The bodies of the deceased were swiftly transported to Government Rajaji Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The loss of these two individuals has left their colleagues and loved ones in shock and mourning.

Investigation Underway

The Traffic Investigation Wing has taken charge of the case and is diligently working to uncover the details surrounding the hit-and-run incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in bringing the perpetrator to justice.
